Hi! My name is Jessica and I have a real appetite for real food.
I will show you how easy it is to make real, whole, unprocessed meals any night of the week, using simple ingredients and basic techniques.
Every night I ask my boyfriend Scott, “What do you want for dinner?” His response is always: “Food!” Since he never has much of an opinion, and will eat just about anything I put in front of him, I am going to turn him into my little guinea pig. I can’t wait to go through all my cookbooks and adapt recipes to add to my repertoire!
I have adopted a minimally processed diet using fresh ingredients — local and organic whenever feasible. I think the concept of “voting with your dollars” is incredibly important. I do not want to fill my body with chemicals and food-like substances dreamed up in a lab at a giant food conglomeration. I want to eat real food, made from real ingredients, that humans have been eating for the past few thousand years before factories started churning out the faux-food stuff less than a hundred years ago.
I’ve cleaned my cupboards of fake food. Now it’s time to make real, whole, wholesome food. Thanks for joining me on this journey, and I hope it is enlightening for you!
